Carrying out the role of a Member of Parliament has a direct cost to the taxpayer.

Caroline has made a commitment to claim the minimum possible in expenses to enable her to do the job properly. She has claimed one of the least amounts in expenses of any Hampshire MP (see table below for a comparison).

Caroline is a full-time member of Parliament, has no directorships and works only for the constituents she represent, regardless of who they voted for. Her expenses are published here and are available for public scrutiny.

Land and Property: I do not own any other land or property other than my family home in West Wellow. I share a rented two bedroom flat in London with two other MPs.
Shareholdings: I do not hold any shares greater than 15% of the share capital of the company. I hold approximately 100 shares in some of the formerly privatised utility companies.
Tax Matters: I confirm that I have never claimed to be, or been treated as not resident, not ordinarily resident or non-domiciled in the UK for tax purposes.

Any other interests: Occasional honorariums for public speaking engagements etc., to cover related costs, as declared on the Register of Members’ Financial Interests.
