Yesterday in Parliament, I raised the issue of the perpetrators of domestic abuse using our own civil courts to harass and re-traumatise their victims.
We have seen spurious allegations of parental alienation and even child grooming used against victims, leaving them having to fight again in the civil courts against perpetrators who are using legal aid to continue a war of attrition against their victims. The system is set up to prevent it happening, but it still is, and Minsters need to make sure all the loopholes, including DA perpetrators using legal aid, are closed.
