Leckford Visit

Tuesday, 16 August, 2022

Last week I was pleased to visit the Leckford Estate and hear about the progress they are making with regenerative agriculture and the benefits it is bringing to the estate. Waitrose are really leading the way here and working with their suppliers to spread best practice.

Waitrose are doing as much as they can at Leckford to regenerate the soil and recycle as much farm waste as possible. The improvement in soil health means inputs decrease and soil becomes more resilient to the sorts of extreme weather we are seeing at the moment.

They have an ambitious plan to meet net zero in 2024 which I am sure they will achieve.
