Over the last few weeks I have been contacted by a number of constituents impacted by the ongoing issues with flammable cladding on buildings. Today in the chamber I raised their plight with the Housing Minister and asked him to understand the urgency with which this needs to be resolved. Not only a people living in limbo, unable to sell properties, but they are paying “waking watch” charges and increased insurance premiums as a result of developers and owners failing to act quickly to remediate the problems.
